Best Pub in Wimbledon Village
Our iconic pub with rooms in the heart of Wimbledon Village was originally commissioned by The Lord of the Manor, Earl Spencer, in the late 1700s (if you believe the historic rumours, that is).
The welcome from Landlord Phil (and pub dog Eddie) has been likened to “coming home after a long day to a big hearty hug”. With our comfy seating, choice of two sunny terraces, bang in season dishes and perfectly-poured pints (if we do say so ourselves), you’re pretty much guaranteed to take root.
Our menus are curated by talented Head Chef Hugh, who takes the freshest British seasonal ingredients and turns them into dishes of dreams. From breakfast to brunch, family dinners to solo suppers – and every satisfying mouthful in-between.
Our two private spaces have played host many a celebration. From christenings and birthdays, all the way through to the wonderful wedding, and milestone anniversaries.
Not only that (as if that wasn’t enough) but we’ve got 23 stunning boutique-y bedrooms too. We’re just a short walk from Wimbledon train station, and a 10 minute stroll to the world famous Wimbledon Tennis Club and Wimbledon Common, so pretty handy for your sport-y stopover.
